Prep To Your Door, a company that delivers completely organic, plant-based meals in a closed loop zero waste model is also recognized as a finalist for the FAVE Eco-Friendly Business category.

The FAVE Awards highlight the many businesses that are committed to supporting customers, employees, and the Austin community through innovation, adaptability, and resiliency.

The FAVE ChangeMaker category recognizes a young professional (under the age of 40) who is a ripple starter, thought leader, do-er, ChangeMaker. A person who identifies the need for change and through their efforts, creates innovative solutions to business and community challenges while inspiring others to do the same. Faiez Rana, Co-Founder & CEO of Prep To Your Door, was recognized as one of four finalists.

The Eco-Friendly Business category celebrates a “company that is dedicated to minimizing waste, going green, is fair trade certified, and/or utilizing sustainable materials and practices as part of their day-to-day operations.”

PTYD is a meal delivery service that continues to make waves thanks to its sustainable and zero-waste approach to serving organic, gluten-free plant-based meals to its customers in Texas. One of the core pillars of its sustainability mission is to deliver all meals in a completely zero waste closed loop model, rather than in single use disposable packaging.

In 2020 alone, PTYD served 77,000 meals using only 3,900 reusable jars. In addition, PTYD sources a completely organic menu to invest in regenerating soil and ultimately serving healthier food for its customers.

PTYD Co-Founder Heather Emerson shares, “We’ve basically changed the meal prep industry with our approach. We provide the same level of convenience but our methods are a whole lot healthier and friendlier to the world we live in. To get here, we had to make sure not to cut corners–not on the ingredients we use, the taste, the level of service we provide, or the nutritional value that our meals offer. Our efforts are geared towards bringing a new era for the industry; one that’s more beneficial for everyone.”

“Central Texas businesses have done an incredible job of revitalizing our economy and community over the past eighteen months” said Alyssia Palacios-Woods, President & CEO of the Austin Young Chamber. “We look forward to recognizing their efforts and celebrating their accomplishments at the annual FAVE Awards this November.”

The FAVE Awards Night is scheduled to happen on November 4, 2021 at Skybox on 6th in downtown Austin.
