Game nights with friends seem like forever ago. There has been a large paradigm shift that has impacted communities across the country such as game stores, cafes, or even your local “barcade”.
Like most social gatherings, COVID-19 has put a halt on a lot of activities revolving around board games and card games. Due to this, many people have been using the application Zoom not just for educational purposes and business practices but to utilize its functionality as a place to meet and hang out with friends.
It does not matter which site you are using to communicate with friends and family, just as long as you are all together in one place!
If you are looking to refresh your nights, here are some game suggestions that you can play!
Jack Box Party Pack (Quiplash!)
My personal favorite on this list is Quiplash.
Quiplash is a game made by Jackbox Games, a small studio located in Chicago, Illinois. The great thing about Quiplash is that only one person needs to own the game to play it together.
The objective of Quiplash is to accumulate the most points to be crowned “the winner”. Quiplash can host up to 8 participants but have an audience of about 10,000 people who can still vote on the best answers to the prompts. This game can turn into absolute chaos, and that is okay with us.
Quiplash is a fun and light-hearted game where the objective is to get the most points by winning votes.
Like many party game applications, you can play PSYCH! anywhere you can connect to the internet! Join a group of friends and family by entering a secret code. Once you are in the objective is to trick friend or foe into picking false answers for trivia questions. If you can make it believable, you can score points!
PSYCH! Is a game made by Warner Bros. and is available on the app store to be downloaded straight to your phones and tablets. This game is free, but will occasionally have an ad pop up in games, and only requires two participants to start the game.
Words with Friends
Here is another free game that you can download and play with friends. The objective is to mix and match words to rack up the most points! This game can be played with up to 40 people simultaneously. To start the game, all you need to do is log into your FaceBook account and go to the game section, and then invite your friends to play!
Is there a game that we missed that you love to play with friends and family on zoom? Let us know in the comments!
